Good evening. My name is Yoichi Wada and I am CEO of Square Enix. I took up the post of CFO of Square in 2000, became CEO in 2001, and I have continuously maintained the Chief Executive position since our 2003 merger as Square Enix.
Today, as I introduce my own and Square Enix’s history, I’ll first look at the whole of the game industry. From there, I'll speak about what's happening in the game industry, and finally, speak about innovation management.

This chart shows the operating income of Square. When I took up my post, I put brakes on our downward slope, and by the end had steered Square out of the worst period in its history into its highest income since founding.
